On July 21st 1987, after years of touring clubs and fighting for a chance, a little known LA-based rock band realised a dream and realised their debut album – Appetite for Destruction. They didn’t know it at the time, or even for months after the release, but this album would go on to become the most successful debut album ever.
Certified 18x platinum with over 30 million copies sold, Appetite for Destruction has become one of the most, if not the most iconic rock releases of the 1980s. Almost 40 years later, Appetite’s cultural impact can still be seen with songs like Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City, and of course Sweet Child O’ Mine still being played on radio, used in adverts, featured in movies and streamed worldwide.
With that in mind we offer our own homage to the legendary album with our first EP – Taste of Appetite. Recorded this year in our own studio, mixed and produced by our own Alan Boyd, Taste of Appetite is exactly what it sounds like, a taste of our band’s AFD covers. Featuring Welcome to the Jungle, Nightrain, Patience, and Paradise City.
Taste of Appetite is now available on all major streaming platforms (Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music and more) and available for purchase on iTunes.
